Following an early breakfast, we strike out for an all-day safari through Mikumi’s prime territory. The destination is the famous Mkata floodplain, where the action happens. Get your cameras ready to capture sightings of lions on the hunt, vast herds of elephants, and the classic silhouettes of zebras and giraffes. We’ll refuel with a wilderness picnic lunch before returning to Vuma Hills for a hearty dinner and overnight stay.”
“We begin with a crisp morning game drive in Mikumi before breakfast. The adventure then shifts gears with a short 2-3 hour drive to the biodiversity hotspot of Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Settle into Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo) for lunch. The afternoon features a guided ascent to the stunning Sanje Waterfalls, offering unparalleled vistas of the surrounding Eastern Arc Mountains and lush forests. We return to camp for dinner and an evening at leisure.”
Fuel up for an all-day guided trek into the heart of the Udzungwa Mountains. We’ll navigate the dense, ancient Magombera forest, seeking out incredible wildlife spotting opportunities. This is the home of rare primates like the Iringa red colobus and the Sanje mangabey. A trailside picnic lunch keeps us energized before we head back to camp to relax with dinner and an overnight stay.”

We then embark on the scenic 6-hour journey back to Dar es Salaam, enjoying a packed lunch en route.
